ARI BACHER

Ari Bacher is a Toronto based Producer/Editor with a passion for storytelling through reality and lifestyle television.

He most recently was a part of the talented crew at Entertainment Tonight Canada where he produced and edited pieces for both the digital and broadcast teams. Previously, Ari worked as an editor for non-profit organizations, including JCC Toronto and Chai Lifeline.

As a life-long competition reality television fan, Ari was inspired by the cinematography and storytelling of shows like Survivor, Big Brother, and Drag Race, and graduated from the Broadcasting For Television program at Seneca College.

Ari comes from a creative family, and his love for the arts was sparked by the quality time he spent with his grandparents growing up. His grandfather, who was a career professional photographer with Kodak Canada, travelled across North America presenting photographic seminars to novice photographers. Ari quickly was enamoured with photography and videography and spent many hours practicing and learning from his grandfather. His grandmother is an artist and together, she and Ari still have “Paint Dates” when visiting.

Family and community are important to Ari, which is why he considers himself to be a “Community Builder” in the workplace. He values teamwork and the ability to help others problem solve, especially while working together on projects. His positive attitude and passion for television and people, creates a warm and inviting space for those who he collaborates with.

HIGHLIGHTS

During his time at Entertainment Tonight Canada, Ari produced and edited two pieces that included on set visits to Big Brother Canada. The first involved integration with ‘Shark’, who was a sponsor of both programs at the time of filming. The second, was the Big Brother Canada season 11 season finale.

Ari, along with on air host Brittnee Blair, was invited to interview several prominent members of the BBCAN crew, including host and executive producer Arisa Cox and Senior Producer Cory Bell.

Brittnee and Ari tested out a real “Veto Challenge” as part of their story with ‘Shark’ to include in the final piece.

Ari quickly became a go-to reality tv expert at Entertainment Tonight Canada, and attended a premiere party for Survivor season 44, hosted in Toronto by ‘Brice and Wen Presents’ (former Survivor castaways) who partnered with Global TV. Accompanied by host Jed Tavernier, Ari produced and edited interviews of past castaways who were in attendance.
